Running While Smart.

Health is very imperative to me. From being a childhood athlete to teaching sports/dance and consistently working out myself, exercise plays a big role in my life. I’ve had gym memberships in the past, but at the moment, I utilize the beautiful parks in my area and truly enjoy the company of nature…well most of it! Lol.

​When I run, most of the time it’s with my dog, Sable. If not, I’m by myself.

​Now, if you personally know me, you know how tough I am.
However, even tough ole me is smart and I carry various protection along with me while running each day.

Have you ever heard of the saying “Work smart, not hard?” That’s how I feel about exercising with protection.
Yeah, I’m tough as nails, but I like to have products that can do most of the work for me so I don’t have to break a nail. :)

​Now, my mom introduced me to these products because she did not like me running by myself in a city away from her especially as a female. From there, our friend Denise, invited us to a small meet-up telling us more about this company that sells products for protection.

The company is called Damsel In Defense.
Suchhhhh a cute name! I listened to various stories of how these products helped some women in situations, and took a look at all the products they offer.

I was in love. I was in love with the products and in love with the fact that someone cared enough to make SUPER cute and disguisable products to protect women. I was very impressed. 
​Ever since then, I carry their products with me everywhere I go.
So let’s see what I carry and the purpose of them:

1: Sock It To Me Striking Tool – Increases the power of any defensive strike.
2: Pepper Spray – Shoots up to 16 feet.

What I love most is that they’re SO fashionable and functional. That’s a win-win in my book.
